Ameera will be 2 next month !

nce my last post, Ameera was doing good. Hope she will be ok, but I have to watch out if she ever fall sick again.

Yesterday, 5-5-2010. In another one month, she will be exactly 2 years. Yes, 2 years !!!! She's growing up fast. She 'talks' a lot now, sometimes singing (I do not know what was the song anyway...). She's cute .. When I look at her face, sometimes I can't believe that I have another child, a GIRL. Thanks to god. My wish just came true.

A date that I will never forget

23-Apr-2010. I will remember this date forever. We went to hpak in the middle of the night for treatment. Alhamdullah, every was fine so far.

Ameera eats sambal ikan bilis. This is spicy stuff that even her brother doesn't dare to eat. Oh dear ..

Cinnamon rolls

I suddenly craving for cinnamon rolls. Ameera was upstairs sleeping, I thought it's easier to handle, so there you go .. I started with the dough around 9pm. About 10pm, I went upstairs to take a look at Ameera and suddenly I heard she said "Ma...." immediately after I opened the door ! Hah! and she was fully awake after that !

I bought below materials recently. Well, not much choices on cotton based. Probably I have to search more shops, but I really don't have much time. My weekend is really tight with house chores, balik kampung activities. I plan to take leave for this :)

My big dream - to turn out these materials to Ameera's dress/gown :)

If not mistaken, she felt sick twice in March.
Yesterday, she started to have cough and flu, again. Went to Pantai immediately for the medicine as the last two were from the other specialist.

1st timer tart

I never like tart before, but this homemade one drools me off. I got the inspiration from pastry studio. From the picture it looks like it is overbake, but it wasn't. I think the almond (too lazy to peel the skin) contributes to the color.

By the way, I'm off today. Ameera has been attacked by viral infection. She had problem to sleep due to blocking nose. So... I can't sleep too and I ended up having sore throat, feeling dizzy.

Despite her being so weak, she amazed everybody last night. I was folding all the baju when she started to pick each of them (including the one that already been folded!) and told us "Abah...atomm ...anah ..." She can recognize every pieces of it ! Your memory is sooo good Ameera !

Crocs vs Frogs (?)

I always wanted to buy crocs shoes for Ameera, it's cute. But you know what, I found this at one of the stalls just outside the deparmental store. Then I stopped at Crocs outlet - exactly the same item at 5x more expensive than this one. They look EXACTLY the same, except the one in Crocs outlet has an ori  tag. Which one that I bought, the frogs, not crocs :)

Happy B'day Aie

Aie's 12th birthday was on last Thursday, 18-Feb. Cruel mom - I didn't buy any cake for him! So yesterday I baked one, choc cake with cream cheese topping. Sounds funny ?? : ) Actually not bad - the sweetness meets a bit of cream cheese sourness. I wrote "Happy B'day Aie" with a big smiley on it. When I came down after Maghrib prayer, the smiley was almost gone - changed to a different shape after along tried to be more creative with the leftover choc glaze. I told Aie - no pic ! Just cut and eat it ! Anyway, my canggih camera also not functioning well as what I expected. The pic is too dark - someone played with the ISO setting / apperture. I have to find ways to reset everything to factory setting, if any ...must search the internet after this. I was too lazy to dig it from the manual.

Looking at my cake yesterday, I know I need to attend a class for this. But where ?? I know one place and just called them - no baking/cake decoration class this month. I'm not interested to choc making yet ... that's what they have in March. And looking at my father's situation now, it's hard to predict. I have to be ready anytime, so I think taking leave to attend baking class would not be a good idea now.
